What it’s for
Section titled “What it’s for”Learning and checking electronics: filters, dividers, rectifiers, amplifiers, timing circuits. The assistant describes the circuit as a SPICE-style netlist; the panel draws the schematic and simulates it — an oscilloscope trace for time-varying circuits, or a table of node voltages for DC.
Working with it
Section titled “Working with it”Two simulators are built in and the panel picks the right one automatically: a fast linear solver for resistors, capacitors, inductors and DC sources, and a full SPICE engine when the circuit has diodes, transistors or op-amps. A Solver control in the toolbar lets you force the linear one.
The netlist is editable — change a component value and Save to re-simulate — or ask the assistant (“double the capacitor”, “add a load resistor”).
Download gives you the SPICE netlist (.cir), which opens in LTspice, ngspice and similar tools.
Try asking
Section titled “Try asking”- “Simulate an RC low-pass filter with a 1 kHz cutoff.”
- “Show me what a diode bridge rectifier does to a sine wave.”
- “Build a voltage divider from 12 V to 5 V and show the node voltages.”
