What it’s for

Pictures made on request — illustrations, hero images, mock-ups, diagrams-as-art — and edits to images you’ve attached (remove a background, change a colour, extend the canvas). The result opens in the panel at full size with the prompt that produced it underneath.

Image generation is available from the tools menu in the composer (Image, under Native tools). See Composer and attachments.

Working with it

Images can’t be edited by hand in the panel. To change one, ask the assistant — “make the sky darker”, “same image but landscape” — and it produces a new version. Download saves the image file.

Try asking

• “Generate an image of a lighthouse at dawn in a watercolour style.”
• “Remove the background from this photo.” (with the photo attached)
• “Make me a hero image for a landing page about cycling holidays.”
