What it’s for
Section titled “What it’s for”Things with real dimensions that you might 3D-print or machine: brackets, mounts, boxes, containers, nameplates, adapters. The assistant writes the part in OpenSCAD — a small language where the model is defined by code and measurements — and the panel compiles and renders it so you can rotate and inspect it.
Working with it
Section titled “Working with it”Preview shows the rendered model; Source shows the code. Edit the numbers (a width, a hole diameter) and Save to re-render, or ask the assistant (“make the walls 2 mm thicker”, “add four mounting holes”).
Download gives you the .scad source, which the free OpenSCAD desktop app opens and exports to STL for printing.
Try asking
Section titled “Try asking”- “Design a 3D-printable bracket, 60 × 40 × 3 mm, with two screw holes.”
- “Make me a parametric storage box with a sliding lid.”
- “Model a hexagonal vase I can print.”
